Sundance 2012: What to Wear

Sundance is around the corner and Lori Harris, owner of Mary Jane’s, has made her predictions for the styles we should expect to see at this year’s film festival. Whether you’re dressing for a night out on the town or trying to stay warm while waiting in line for wait-listed tickets, Mary Jane’s and the Denim Bar have all the must-haves for Sundance.

Try a Michael Stars top under a simple black blazer. Sequined tops go perfect with a pair of brightly colored skinny jeans allowing you to look elegant while still fun and trendy. Pair this look with Timberland Rudston boots and your ready to go!

Our favorite time of year…

It is truly our favorite time of year at Panic Button: time to gear up for the Sundance Film Festival.  We keep busy seeing films (when we can) and accommodating national clients like L’Oreal, Timberland, and Entertainment Weekly by capturing their moves during the 10-day celebration of independent film.  We’re looking forward to working with our returning clients and catering to new ones too.  Click here for a taste of what we do.

Running Like a Girl

Over the weekend we had the great fortune to accompany our new client, Sharon Starika to the “Run Like a Girl” retreat in Midway.  Sharon is a force of nature, a blast of positivity, and uses the Feldenkrais method to help people pursue their active lifestyles pain-free.
Sharon worked with the women all weekend – giving out running tips, and joining them on their jogs.
You can begin to know Sharon through her new website.

We’re thrilled to know her and even more excited to promote her to the world.

The Departure

It happened about a month ago: We ejected the Fleetwood Mac eight track (with help from a screw driver) and paused the Phantogram Pandora station when we welcomed a new talented band into our lives, The Departure. Not only do we rock out in the office, we are delighted to add them to our list of clients.  This sibling duo is about to take the music scene by storm. They’ve recorded their first album produced their first video and are booking local gigs.  It won’t be long before, Maci, 15, and Ryan, 17, are playing packed stadiums.  Keep tabs on The Departure – we are.

The Company Car

The Company Car

Call it a field trip, or co-worker bonding – but we at Panic Button Media will refer to it as the “research” we love to do.  Saturday night meant loading up in the “company car” aka the 1964 Valiant, to check in on some favorite clients.  First stop: Shabu, to sample their new outdoor decks and summer menu.  Then it was off to Reef’s on lower Main to taste Israeli wine, hummus, babaganoush and the halva cookies no one can resist.

We highly recommend both dining options — and don’t forget to try Shabu’s own signature cocktail throughout Park City this summer: No Thyme Like the Present. It’s fresh and light and pairs well with Park City summer evenings.

All About Shabu

New summer menu? Check. Saketini Bar? Check. Patio seating? Check. Local discounts? Check.  What’s not to love about Shabu? The Heirloom Tomato Salad and the “Tokyo Broil” Hanger Steak are among our favorite summer menu items and as always; the Firecracker Shrimp are out of this world. Definitely top all that off with a “High West Nowhere” saketini.  Be sure to “Like” Shabu on Facebook to receive exclusive promotions.  Right now through June 30th, spend $75 and get $25 off. Be sure to tell your friends. See you at Shabu!

One Revolution makes it’s Park City debut Friday, May 13th at 7 PM at the Eccles Center.  The documentary about Chris Waddell’s epic journey to be the first paraplegic to summit Kilimanjaro is impressive on so many levels.  This film has already received several awards including Best Feature Documentary at the Geneva Film Festival, the Bronze Palm Award from the Mexico International Film Festival as well as top honors at the Memphis Film Festival.

Here’s a taste of the inspiration that this film delivers in large quantities:  One Revolution Trailer

We look forward to seeing you Friday, and so does Chris Waddell and the team of generous people who helped get him to the top.

Design Kudos for Atlas

Have you heard of Atlas Architects?  If not, you will. This boutique architecture firm was recently heralded for its work on the USA House at the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver at Contract Magazine’s 32nd Annual Interior Awards, an international competition.  Want to see more Atlas style closer to home? Check out Prana Yoga at Trolley Square.  The grand opening is April 16th – but we think you can get sneak peek now through the studio’s impressive windows.
